Coinbase Axes Futures Trading for Ten Cryptocurrencies
Coinbase has announced it will suspend futures trading on ten cryptocurrencies, including memecoins and other altcoins.
The affected assets are Memecoin (MEME), The Sandbox (SAND), Moonbirds (BIRB), Blur (BLUR), Katana (KAT), SPX6900 (SPX), ZORA, Axie Infinity (AXS), Gensyn (AI), and LayerZero (ZRO).
The trading halt will take place on August 26th at approximately 9:00 PM Turkish time. Positions that remain open after the suspension will be automatically settled.
Coinbase stated that the final settlement price for these contracts will be calculated based on the average index price during the 60-minute period prior to trading suspension. The funding rate for the final funding period will also be set at zero.
