Coinbase Bolsters Base Support with New Hire from India

Akhil BVS, a Bangalore-based community leader and entrepreneur, has joined Coinbase as part of its efforts to enhance builder support at Base, the exchange's Ethereum Layer-2 network.

BVS previously co-founded Inner Circle and has mentored over 1,000 individuals in launching side projects. He also brings product leadership experience from the music space, having worked on an app that accumulated over 10 million plays.

This hire is part of Coinbase's strategy to support Indian developers, which began last year with the appointment of Saumya Saxena to lead Base's efforts targeting Indian builders specifically.
