Coinbase Bolsters Board with Former Musk Companies CFO Anthony Armstrong

Coinbase has appointed Anthony Armstrong to its Board of Directors, bringing his extensive experience in technology, finance, and large-scale operations to the role. Armstrong joins Coinbase from a stint as CFO at xAI, X.AI Corp., and X Corp., where he led financial operations for several high-profile tech companies.

Before joining Musk's companies, Armstrong spent nearly a decade at Morgan Stanley, where he built and led one of Wall Street's most active global technology mergers and acquisitions practices. He also worked as a Senior Advisor in the Executive Office of the President, focusing on improving efficiency in large and complex institutions.

Coinbase sees Armstrong's appointment as a move to strengthen its leadership and further emphasize its focus on efficient execution and prioritizing high-impact work.
