Coinbase Brings Regulated Derivatives to Canadian Traders
Coinbase has launched regulated derivative contracts in Canada, offering eligible traders access to highly liquid and capital-efficient perpetual and dated futures.
The platform is the first major crypto native platform to offer direct native crypto futures in Canada, giving sophisticated investors a new way to trade and speculate on digital assets.
The contracts are offered through Coinbase Financial Markets (CFM), a registered futures commission merchant with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
Coinbase is targeting Canadian traders who have previously relied on unregulated or offshore platforms to access crypto-derivative products. The platform offers competitive pricing, with nano-sized contracts designed for lower upfront capital requirements and up to 10x leverage.
