Coinbase Brings Tokenized Stocks to Non-US Users via Base L2 Network
Coinbase has launched tokenized stocks on its Base L2 network for non-US users. The platform offers fractional shares of Apple and Nvidia, allowing users to directly claim a real share held by regulated broker and custodian Alpaca. These tokens can be stored in non-custodial wallets or traded on Aerodrome.
Users can also use the tokenized stocks as collateral for lending through Aave. Coinbase plans to add more stocks and tokenized real assets in the coming weeks, expanding its offerings beyond just these initial options.
