Coinbase has expanded its financial services in the UK by offering commission-free trading of nearly 4,000 US stocks to qualified users. This new feature positions Coinbase as the first platform focused on cryptocurrencies to offer this type of service to British investors.
The company's initiative marks another step in expanding its investment ecosystem. After obtaining regulatory authorization to provide investment services in the UK, Coinbase began offering a structure that brings together cryptocurrencies, stocks, and other financial assets on a single platform.
With the new feature, investors can trade American stocks 24 hours a day, five days a week. The company also offers fractional shares, allowing investments starting from just £1, making access to the US market more accessible for different investor profiles.
