Coinbase Brings Wall Street to Crypto Users with Expanded Stock Trading
Coinbase is expanding its services in the UK by allowing users to trade thousands of US stocks and ETFs alongside cryptocurrencies, as part of its strategy to create a 'universal hub' for trading digital and traditional assets.
The new service, which offers access to nearly 4,000 US stocks and ETFs, allows customers to manage both their traditional investments and digital assets from a single wallet, eliminating the need for separate brokerage platforms.
Coinbase users in the UK can now trade 24 hours a day, five days a week, covering pre-market sessions, regular trading hours, after-hours, and overnight sessions. The company has also eliminated transaction commissions and offers funding options using British Pounds (GBP) or the USDC stablecoin.
