Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong has reaffirmed his prediction that Bitcoin could reach $1 million by 2030, despite the current market downturn. Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Armstrong pointed to the cryptocurrency's fixed supply of 21 million coins and growing global demand as reasons for his optimism.

The Coinbase chief has held this view since at least 2025, and is urging investors to ignore weekly price swings and focus on long-term trends. Armstrong also expressed hope that ongoing discussions with lawmakers will lead to favorable cryptocurrency legislation in the US.

However, he recently announced that Coinbase can no longer support a proposed US Senate bill due to concerns it would damage innovation and competition in the crypto sector.
