Coinbase Diversifies Revenue Streams Amid Regulatory Shift
Coinbase has made significant strides in diversifying its revenue streams and expanding into new product lines, according to management's presentation at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia + Technology Conference 2026.
The company now generates over 90% of its revenue from sources other than Bitcoin spot trading, which accounted for just over 10% of total revenue in the second quarter. This is a significant shift from when Coinbase went public in 2021, when Bitcoin spot trading made up more than 50% of revenue.
Coinbase's subscription services have grown to about $2.5 billion on an annualized basis, while its prediction markets reached a $100 million annualized revenue run rate in the second quarter. The company also highlighted its growth in derivatives and equities trading.
