Coinbase EGLD Transaction Delays Resolved in Hours

Coinbase users experienced delays on July 31 when the exchange flagged issues affecting MultiversX (EGLD) transactions. Sending and receiving EGLD tokens were impacted, leaving some users unable to move their funds on and off the platform.

The disruption was isolated to EGLD network transactions and did not affect buying, selling, or fiat-related operations. The Coinbase engineering team identified the root cause and deployed a fix within hours, restoring normal operations by the end of the day.

No security breach occurred during the incident, and no funds were lost or compromised. MultiversX's network continued to operate normally, with no reports of congestion, downtime, or unusual activity from other platforms or on-chain monitoring tools.
