A Coinbase engineer has developed an open-source project called Stonkfly that connects a simulated fruit fly brain to a Bitcoin trading system.

The system interprets Bitcoin candlestick charts visually and rewards profitable trades with simulated dopamine signals, mimicking the neural structure of a fruit fly with 166,700 neurons and 25.6 million connections.

This experiment is not meant to prove profitable trading, but rather explores how a biological brain simulation adapts to artificial rewards in crypto trading.
