Coinbase Enters Canadian Futures Market with Regulated Derivatives

Coinbase has launched regulated derivatives contracts for eligible Canadian traders, giving users access to crypto, commodity, and index futures through Coinbase Financial Markets.

The company announced the rollout on September 2, making it the first major crypto-native platform to offer direct native crypto futures in Canada.

The initial lineup combines perpetual-style and dated contracts, with 23 perpetual and dated crypto futures available, including contracts tied to Bitcoin, Ether, and Solana.
