Coinbase Exec Expects Clarity Act to Pass Soon Amid Growing Crypto Adoption
Coinbase Chief Policy Officer Faryar Shirzad expressed optimism about the Clarity Act, saying it has bipartisan support and could be voted on as early as next week.
The bill aims to provide near-term regulatory clarity for crypto exchanges and token activity. It bans officials and their families from issuing or promoting cryptocurrency but faces opposition from some Democrats due to concerns over stablecoin yields.
Shirzad dismissed these concerns, pointing out that top U.S. banks like JPMorgan and Bank of America are already adopting stablecoin products. He argued that this adoption signals a shift towards embracing crypto technology.
