Coinbase Expands to Equities with 4,000 US-Listed Stocks

Coinbase, the popular cryptocurrency exchange, has expanded its UK trading platform to include nearly 4,000 US-listed stocks. This move marks a significant step towards making Coinbase a broader financial platform.

The service allows eligible customers in the UK to trade equities alongside digital assets from the same app. The rollout offers commission-free trading and supports fractional shares, enabling investors to buy portions of higher-priced stocks.

Although trading is available 24/7 during the business week, order execution depends on the session. Market orders execute only during normal US market hours between 9:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Outside those hours, customers must use limit orders due to lower liquidity.
