Coinbase has expanded its UK platform to include access to nearly 4,000 US stocks for eligible users. This move allows customers to trade fractional shares from £1 without paying commission fees.

The expansion is part of Coinbase's Everything Exchange strategy, which aims to combine traditional finance and digital assets within one platform. Users can now buy, sell, and manage US equities alongside their crypto and cash balances.

Currency movements may affect trades due to US shares being priced in dollars. Orders are routed through Coinbase Capital Markets Corporation for execution by Apex Clearing, which holds the shares and manages settlement within the United States.
