Coinbase Expands UK Services with 4,000 US Stocks

Coinbase has expanded its services in the UK by adding nearly 4,000 US stocks to its platform for eligible customers. This move marks a significant shift from being primarily a cryptocurrency exchange to becoming an 'Everything Exchange' that offers various financial products under one account.

The new stock trading service will allow users to buy, sell, and manage US shares alongside their crypto and fiat holdings with 24-hour trading from Monday through Friday. The company is offering zero-commission transactions and fractional investing starting at £1.

Coinbase's regional managing director for the UK and Europe, Keith Grose, stated that the company aims to create a single place where customers can access multiple financial products. This expansion will provide users with more convenience and flexibility in managing their investments.
