Coinbase Files U.S. Single-Stock Perpetual Notices
Coinbase has filed notice registrations with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for its derivatives exchange and broker as it works to bring single-stock perpetual contracts to the United States.
The company's announcement described the filings as a step toward an onshore product, not a launch, and said Coinbase intends to collaborate with both the SEC and Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
Filings Set Up a New U.S. Product Push. The disclosure connects two regulated functions in Coinbase's plan: a derivatives exchange and a broker. Coinbase did not identify the legal names used in the notices or say what review remains before either entity could support the proposed contracts.
