Coinbase-Funded Group Backs 32 Midterm Candidates Amid Crypto Policy Battles

Share

Coinbase has backed Stand With Crypto, an advocacy group focused on legislative engagement and promoting digital-asset policy. The group recently endorsed 32 incumbent House candidates for reelection ahead of the November midterms.

The endorsements targeted lawmakers with pro-digital asset voting records and were announced on August 24th. The list includes both Republicans and Democrats, such as Tom Emmer, Bill Huizenga, Ritchie Torres, and Josh Gottheimer.

Stand With Crypto said it selected lawmakers based on their records supporting digital-asset policy and competitive races where its registered advocates could influence turnout. The group's executive director noted that crypto voters can affect close congressional races.

The CLARITY Act, which aims to regulate digital commodities, passed the House in July 2025 with bipartisan support but has yet to be completed in the Senate. The next test for market-structure legislation arrives on September 15th when the Senate's cloture motion is scheduled to ripen.
