Coinbase Global Unveils Ambitious Expansion Plans as 'Everything Exchange'
Coinbase Global is expanding its services beyond spot cryptocurrency trading to become an 'Everything Exchange', said Alesia Haas, Chief Financial Officer. The company now offers four trading verticals: spot crypto, derivatives, traditional equities, and tokenized equities for non-US customers.
Haas emphasized the importance of diversifying revenue streams, which could create additional growth opportunities as customers trade more assets on one platform. The company's addressable market has broadened significantly over the past 12 to 18 months, she added.
Coinbase is prioritizing the expansion of its Everything Exchange and growing stablecoin- and payments-related businesses. Within this strategy, derivatives and prediction markets are key areas for scaling and development, according to Haas.
