Coinbase Grabs Record Crypto Trading Share Amid Revenue Decline
Coinbase reported a record 10.3% share of global crypto trading volume in Q2 2026, its third straight all-time high.
The company's revenue fell to $1.22 billion due to industry spot trading volumes decreasing by over 20%, but it saw growth in subscription and services revenue, which made up 48% of net revenue - a significant increase from 29% at the end of 2024.
Coinbase One paid membership reached an all-time high of more than 1 million during Q2 2026, and the company's quarterly loss narrowed to $359.5 million after losses of $666.7 million in Q4 2025 and $394.1 million in Q1 2026.
The company generated positive adjusted EBITDA of $207.8 million, its 14th consecutive quarter in positive territory, and management reduced and narrowed its full-year adjusted expense guidance.
