Coinbase Halt: IoTeX Trading Frozen on September 23, Trust Wallet to Drop Support Five Days Earlier
Coinbase will halt trading in IoTeX (IOTX) on September 23, 2026. This means that users can no longer buy or sell IOTX on the platform, but their balances remain intact and they can still withdraw their tokens.
The decision is part of Coinbase's regular review of listed assets against its own listing standards, with no specific reason given for IOTX. The halt affects trading pairs on Coinbase.com, Simple Trade, Advanced Trade, Coinbase Exchange, and Coinbase Prime.
For German holders, the news may be more significant since the euro pair IOTX-EUR has already been removed from Coinbase's interface. This means that users can no longer directly exit into euros with their IOTX holdings on the platform.
However, it is essential to note that this is a trading halt and not a delisting. The latter would remove the asset from the platform entirely, usually with its own deadline for final withdrawal. In this case, users have two routes: selling on Coinbase before September 23 or moving their tokens to another platform or into their own wallet.
Additionally, Trust Wallet will drop native support for IoTeX (IOTX) on September 15, eight days earlier than the Coinbase date. This means that convenient access to IOTX balances in Trust Wallet will be removed, but users can still view and manage their holdings by adding the network as a custom network or transferring them to another wallet.
