Coinbase Halts Trading for STORJ and BADGER Amid Liquidity Review
Coinbase has announced that it will halt trading for two tokens, STORJ and BADGER, on September 28, 2026. The exchange cited its regular review of listed assets against internal standards for liquidity and trading quality as the reason for this decision.
This is not a withdrawal deadline, and balances will not be converted or locked in. Instead, the ability to buy or sell these tokens at Coinbase will end on September 28.
For STORJ holders, there is another significant development: Storj Labs, the company behind the decentralized storage network, filed for Chapter 11 creditor protection on July 26, 2026. This means that token holders should not assume they have a claim in the proceedings, as owning STORJ confers no shares, voting rights, or participation in the company.
The trading halt affects all Coinbase products, including the simple and advanced trading views on coinbase.com, the Coinbase Exchange trading platform, and Coinbase Prime for institutional clients. However, custody is left untouched, and withdrawals of both tokens remain possible after September 28.
