Coinbase Introduces Prediction Markets for Users
Coinbase has introduced a new prediction market for its users to bet on future events. The first round of the 3-ball market, featuring Gavins/Lee/Guillamoundeguy, is now live. This allows users to trade contracts with a payout of $714 if their chosen outcome occurs.
The market has been set up as a 'yes/no' contract, where users can buy in and bet on the event happening or not. The price reflects the market's odds, currently showing a 65% chance of the event occurring, priced at $0.65 per contract.
The market will close and expire when an outcome occurs, or by September 24th, 2026, at 1:50 PM GMT+0 if no outcome is reached. Users need to be aware that there are trading prohibitions in place for current and former players, coaches, and staff of the league, association, or organization governing the event.
