Coinbase Introduces Pulse Mode for Mobile Perp Trading
Coinbase has launched Pulse Mode for mobile perpetual futures trading on its renamed Wallet app. The feature is available shortly after the company restored the Coinbase Wallet name to the application, previously called Base App.
Pulse Mode presents a simplified interface for opening and managing leveraged long or short positions in perpetual contracts, also known as perps. According to Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong, Pulse Mode is a new way to trade on the go, but the company has not published detailed information on fees, leverage limits, or regional eligibility.
The Wallet app remains self-custodial and supports various assets, including cryptocurrencies, tokenized stocks, commodities, prediction markets, and perpetual futures. The current Google Play listing states that perpetual trading is powered by Hyperliquid and available only to non-U.S. users in selected jurisdictions.
