Coinbase Prediction Markets: A New Way to Bet on Real-World Events

The cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has expanded its services to include prediction markets, where users can bet on the outcome of various events. These markets operate similarly to traditional sports betting, but with a focus on real-world outcomes such as elections, economic trends, and cultural phenomena.

To access these markets, new users need to create a standard Coinbase account and make a qualifying crypto purchase of at least $50. After this, they will be eligible for a random BTC reward between $10 and $2,000, which can then be converted to USDC to use on the prediction markets.

The prediction markets themselves offer a range of categories, including sports, cryptocurrency, politics, culture, and climate events. Each contract trades between $0.01 and $0.99, with prices reflecting the market's belief in the event's outcome.
