Coinbase Misses Q2 Earnings Estimates Amid Declining Trading Volumes
Coinbase's second-quarter earnings failed to meet Wall Street expectations, resulting in a significant revenue and earnings shortfall.
The company attributed this underperformance to declining trading volumes and shifts in customer activity.
In the Q2 CY2026 report, Coinbase posted $1.22 billion in revenue, down 18.5% year-over-year and missing analyst estimates by 5.9%. Adjusted EPS came in at -$1.36, a significant miss of -$0.23 estimated by analysts.
Despite this disappointing performance, CEO Brian Armstrong emphasized Coinbase's focus on expanding its product offerings and adapting to the evolving regulatory landscape.
