Coinbase, Moov Partner on Stablecoin Payments for Community Banks
US-based cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has partnered with payments infrastructure company Moov to provide stablecoin payment services to US community banks and credit unions.
The partnership, which was announced on September 10, will allow these smaller financial institutions to offer stablecoin payments without having to build separate systems from scratch.
Moov's existing platform has supported card issuing, merchant payments, and connections to real-time payment networks, and Coinbase's digital-asset infrastructure will be integrated into it.
According to Moov CEO Wade Arnold, corporate clients of community financial institutions are already receiving requests for stablecoin payments but are using outside providers to handle them.
