Coinbase Overhauls Leadership Amidst Push into Stocks and Prediction Markets
Coinbase has undergone significant changes in its leadership ranks as it expands into new asset classes. The exchange announced that Lawrence Brock will leave his position as Chief People Officer on August 17, with Dominique Baillet set to take over. This move comes just three months after Coinbase eliminated 14% of its workforce, or around 700 positions.
Changes have also occurred in other departments, including the institutional and Base teams. Greg Tusar has moved into a policy-focused position after working on prime brokerage, custody, financing, and exchange products. Paul Grewal will leave his role as Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary on July 31, with Molly Abraham taking over as General Counsel and Secretary.
