Coinbase Posts Record Market Share Amid Q2 Revenue Miss
Coinbase reported its third consecutive quarterly revenue miss in Q2 2026, posting a $359.5 million GAAP net loss and missing earnings per share (EPS) estimates by a wide margin at negative $1.36.
Total revenue fell 18.5% year over year to $1.22 billion, with crypto trading volume market share hitting an all-time high of 10.3%, up from 9.1% in Q1.
Despite the loss and revenue miss, Coinbase's structural story is changing, with subscription and services revenue growing from $6 million per quarter in 2020 to $555 million today, representing 48% of net revenue.
