Coinbase Posts Third Straight Quarter of Missed Revenue Targets
Coinbase's second-quarter earnings fell short of expectations, posting a net loss of $359.5 million and missing revenue targets for the third consecutive quarter.
The company's revenue declined to $1.2 billion from $1.5 billion in the same period last year, while its net profit was down by $1.43 billion or $5.14 per share.
Coinbase attributed the losses to weak market conditions, including stagnant Bitcoin prices and a shift towards persistent net outflows from bitcoin ETFs.
The company's CEO, Brian Armstrong, stated that Coinbase's cryptocurrency trading market share reached an all-time high in the second quarter.
