Coinbase Premium Flips Positive for First Time Since May
Bitcoin has resumed trading at a premium on Coinbase compared to Binance for the first time since May, according to Coinglass data. This means that demand for Bitcoin is stronger on the Nasdaq-listed US exchange.
The positive turn follows Bitcoin's recent surge from around $63,000 to over $80,000 and increased investment in US-listed spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs), which use Coinbase as a custodian. These ETFs have attracted $3.51 billion in investor funds since October 2025.
A sustained premium on Coinbase has historically been a feature of Bitcoin bull runs. Analysts believe that if the positive turn persists, Bitcoin could break through critical resistance levels, such as the 50-week simple moving average near $81,000.
