Coinbase Retires Pro Platform, Merges Features into Main Account

Coinbase Pro, the advanced trading platform for experienced traders, has been retired. Launched as GDAX in 2015 and rebranded to Coinbase Pro in 2018, it was merged into the main Coinbase account on November 20, 2023.

The functionality of Coinbase Pro is now available within the main Coinbase account under a new name: Coinbase Advanced Trade. Former users can log in with their existing credentials and switch to the Advanced Trade view.

Coinbase Advanced Trade includes real-time order books, depth charts, charting powered by TradingView, and indicators such as EMA, MACD, and Bollinger Bands. It also offers 550+ spot trading pairs and maker fees as low as 0.0% at the highest volume tiers.

Customers who had a Coinbase Pro account did not lose access to their funds; instead, their balances were transferred automatically to their regular Coinbase accounts in phases. However, any open buy or sell orders on Coinbase Pro were cancelled during the migration.
