Coinbase Revenue Falls Amid Market Slowdown
Coinbase's second-quarter revenue fell 14% quarter-over-quarter to $1.22 billion, largely due to weak trading activity in cryptocurrencies.
The company's transactional revenue dropped 21% to $599 million, while its overall trading volume declined by 24% to $146.4 billion.
However, despite these declines, Coinbase managed to increase its market share to a record 10.3%, and its prediction markets segment saw a significant boost in revenue, growing 106% from the previous quarter to over $100 million annually.
