Coinbase Revenue Slumps Amid Market Downturn, Non-Transactional Services Shine
Coinbase's Q2 Revenue Falls Amid Market Slowdown
The cryptocurrency exchange generated $1.22 billion in revenue for the quarter, a decrease of 14% from the previous period. This decline was largely due to a 21% drop in transactional revenue, which fell to $599 million.
However, Coinbase's non-trading services saw significant growth, with prediction market revenues soaring by 106% and subscription revenues bolstered. The company's stablecoin activities also contributed to its overall revenue.
The average USDC balances on Coinbase platforms stood at $20 billion, highlighting the increasing importance of these services in relation to stablecoins.
