Coinbase Revives Wallet Name Amid Multichain Trading Push

Coinbase has brought back its Coinbase Wallet name as it shifts toward multichain trading. This move puts its self-custodial strategy in direct competition with Robinhood Chain.

The company's wallet now supports multiple networks, including Base, Robinhood Chain, Solana, Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Monad, Optimism, Arbitrum, Polygon, and Avalanche.

Coinbase Wallet's relaunch is built around a 'test kitchen' thesis, where it will host products and assets that may not be available through Coinbase's centralized exchange.
