Coinbase Seeks SEC Approval for US Equity Perpetuals Expansion

Share

Coinbase is expanding its U.S. derivatives exchange by filing notice-registration documents with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to bring equity perpetuals to its platform.

The company has already offered these contracts internationally, but this SEC filing marks an important step towards making them available to U.S. customers.

Coinbase's Chief Policy Officer Faryar Shirzad disclosed the filing on September 3, stating that the company had submitted the documents to begin bringing equity perpetuals to its U.S. derivatives exchange.
