Coinbase Shares Plummet 5% After Missing Q2 Revenue Projections
Coinbase Global, Inc., a leading cryptocurrency exchange, reported its second-quarter revenue of $1.22 billion on July 30, 2026, falling short of Wall Street estimates of $1.29 billion.
This led to a decline in shares, with prices dropping roughly 5% in after-hours trading.
The revenue decrease from $1.5 billion in the same period last year was largely due to a broader downturn in digital asset markets during the quarter.
Transaction revenue dropped to $599 million compared to expectations of $628 million, while subscription and services revenue reached $555 million against $599 million projected by analysts.
