Coinbase Suspends Trading for Six Crypto Pairs Amid Routine Review
Coinbase has announced that it will suspend trading for six cryptocurrency pairs on August 6, after moving five of them into limit-only mode.
The exchange stated that this decision follows its routine review of market quality and trading activity. The pairs affected are LSETH-ETH, MINA-EUR, GRT-GBP, MASK-GBP, CHZ-USDT, and CRO-USDT.
During the limit-only period, users will be able to place and cancel limit orders while existing orders may still match. However, market orders are no longer accepted for these trading pairs.
Coinbase said that it monitors liquidity and order book depth across all supported markets, and trading pairs with limited activity may be removed to maintain efficient trading conditions and reduce wider spreads caused by low liquidity.
This is not the first time Coinbase has taken similar actions. In the past, the exchange has suspended or removed trading pairs that no longer met its listing standards.
