Coinbase Taps Prediction Markets for Growth

Coinbase Global's entry into prediction markets has emerged as a new growth pillar for the company, expanding its addressable market and accelerating its transition to an 'everything exchange'.

The partnership with Kalshi, a regulated U.S. exchange that enables users to trade on outcomes of real-world events, was established in November 2025.

Prediction-market volumes have surged amid rising retail participation, sports-related activity, political events, and demand for real-time information, reducing Coinbase's dependence on crypto trading volumes.
