Coinbase Unleashes 24/5 US Stock Trading for UK Users

Coinbase has expanded its services to UK users by offering access to nearly 4,000 US stocks with 24/5 trading and no commissions. The platform allows trading from £1 with instant funding in GBP or USDC. Stock custody is handled by Apex Clearing.

This move is part of Coinbase's 'Everything Exchange' strategy, which aims to unify access to various financial products, including stocks, stablecoins, savings accounts, and credit products backed by crypto assets within a single platform.

Krish Grose, Regional Managing Director for the UK and Europe at Coinbase, stated that the company has built a space where users can seamlessly access different financial products from one platform. He noted that new products are expected to be launched in the UK and European Union over the coming months.
