Coinbase Unveils Instant Onchain Token Trading for Base and Solana
Coinbase has introduced a new 'Launches' tab within its mobile app, allowing users to instantly discover and trade newly issued onchain tokens on the Base and Solana blockchains.
The feature uses automated infrastructure indexing technology to detect and surface newly created onchain tokens in real time. This means that when a token is minted on Base or Solana, it can appear in the app almost immediately, giving users early access without waiting for a formal exchange listing.
Coinbase has integrated routing technology from Jupiter, the largest decentralized exchange aggregator, to optimize liquidity and pricing for Solana-based trades. This move aligns with the broader industry trend toward instant, onchain trading, reducing the friction between token creation and retail access.
