Coinbase Unveils Multi-Portfolio Feature with up to 25 Separate Trading Desks

Coinbase's Advanced platform has introduced a new feature that allows users to create up to 25 separate portfolios for different trading strategies. This means traders can now manage multiple, isolated investment setups within a single verified account.

The multi-portfolio feature is accessible through the Portfolio page on Coinbase Advanced and operates independently within the same account. Each portfolio can be tailored to a specific strategy, risk profile, or organizational logic, giving users more flexibility in their trading approach.

This development builds upon the sub-account concept introduced by Coinbase Pro in December 2019. The current iteration on Coinbase Advanced expands this concept with a higher portfolio cap and tighter integration into the platform's evolving toolset.

The introduction of multi-portfolio management coincides with Coinbase's broader ambition to integrate traditional assets like stocks and ETFs alongside cryptocurrency. This could make it more difficult for competitors to attract users, especially institutional investors and fund managers who value clear segregation and audit trails within a single platform.
