Coinbase Unveils Regulated Crypto Futures Trading in Canada with Up to 10x Leverage

Coinbase has launched regulated crypto futures trading for eligible customers in Canada. The move introduces a new layer of functionality for advanced traders who wish to hedge bets or make leveraged trades on the crypto market.

The company has added 23 perpetual and dated futures, which offer maximum leverage of 10x. This includes contracts for Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Solana (SOL).

Coinbase Financial Markets will provide Canadian investors with regulated access to crypto derivatives through the launch. The new offering is coming via Coinbase Financial Markets (CFM), which is a futures commission merchant (FCM) registered with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) of the United States.
