Coinbase Valued at $51 Billion Amid Cryptocurrency Market Rally

Coinbase's shares surged 10.5% to $193.36 on Thursday, placing the exchange's market value at approximately $51 billion, or 11 times its annualized net revenue for the second quarter.

The rally was driven by a boost in cryptocurrency values, with Bitcoin rising 4.9% and ether climbing 4.5% compared to their respective rolling Coinbase opens.

According to Coinbase's quarterly filing, transaction revenue declined by 22% in the second quarter, while subscriptions and services contributed 48% to net revenue.
