Coinbase's Expansion Efforts Fail to Boost COIN Stock Price
Coinbase's latest expansion efforts are not yet translating into a significant price boost for COIN stock. Despite announcing several new initiatives, including a partnership with Moov to provide small and community banks with technology for stablecoin payments, settlement, and instant funding, the stock has barely budged on its daily chart.
The integration is designed to fit seamlessly into the existing technology stack of these organizations, making it easier for them to integrate stablecoins into their balance sheets. Additionally, Coinbase Developer Platform has made Coinbase for Agents available on Grok, allowing users to connect their Coinbase accounts and automate financial workflows without needing an MCP setup.
However, despite these announcements, investors remain unimpressed, with COIN stock struggling to break above the 200-day EMA. The stock's price has been stuck around $196 since early September, with the 50-day EMA near $169 serving as a dynamic support level.
The technical outlook for COIN stock remains bearish, with a breakdown potentially sending prices back toward the $145 demand area. On the other hand, a sustained daily close above the 200-day EMA could shift the trend, making $225 and then $245 potential targets to watch.
