Coinbase's Shirzad Optimistic About Bipartisan Crypto Clarity Act Progress

Share

Coinbase's Chief Policy Officer, Faryar Shirzad, says the Clarity Act is gaining bipartisan support and may be voted on as soon as next week.

The bill has been stuck in a deadlock this year due to concerns from banking chiefs about stablecoin yield and ethics. However, Shirzad claims that banks are already adopting crypto technology.

'The irony of the situation we're facing with the banking lobby in Washington is that all the banks are actually moving quickly to adopt crypto and stablecoin in their own systems,' he said.

Shirzad praised the Clarity Act as 'an extraordinarily bipartisan piece of work' and expressed optimism about its prospects, despite some Democrats still objecting to it.
