Coincheck has become Japan's second registered stablecoin operator after completing registration for electronic payment instruments transaction services.

This approval gives Coincheck a legal basis to offer stablecoin-related services in Japan, including expanding its use of Circle's USDC and rolling out on-chain financial services.

The company plans to gradually introduce a range of on-chain financial services, in addition to stablecoin-based remittances and payments.
