CoinCorner Unveils Lloyd's-Insured Multisig Bitcoin Vault Service
CoinCorner has launched its new multisig Bitcoin vault service, which stores customer keys across two locations and is insured by Lloyd's of London. The service, called Vault, allows customers to store their BTC holdings in a secure environment without managing hardware themselves.
The launch comes after the high-profile hack of single-signature wallets, including the Coldcard wallet, which resulted in losses totaling $115 million due to a firmware bug.
Vault charges 1.5% per year and is designed for customers who want cold-storage security without the hassle of managing hardware. According to CoinCorner CEO Danny Scott, Vault offers 'a simple non-technical setup' that partners with AnchorWatch for fully insured multisig custody.
