CoinEx Shuts Down Amid Downturn and Rising Compliance Costs

Share

Crypto exchange CoinEx has announced its shutdown after nearly nine years in operation. The platform cited a prolonged downturn, falling trading activity, and rising compliance costs as reasons for the closure.

The company will begin an orderly wind-down of its operations, with spot trading set to end on September 29. Users will have until December 22, 2026, to withdraw their funds.

CoinEx has advised customers to move their assets early rather than wait until the final days, when network congestion or processing delays could create additional problems.
