CoinGecko's cybersecurity component for its Trust Score has migrated from CER.live to CORE3, effective immediately. The migration affects 166 centralized exchanges and was announced by CoinGecko in a joint press release with risk infrastructure provider CORE3.

The move brings a forward-looking assessment of emerging risks at cryptocurrency exchanges, identifying potential security breaches before they occur. Individual exchange cybersecurity scores will remain within a two percentage point range, ensuring minimal disruption for users.

According to CORE3, 48% of the 193 exchanges in its dataset lack evidence across key areas such as Proof of Reserves, bug bounty programs, and penetration testing. Users can now access a broader risk breakdown on CORE3, including Security, Solvency, and Transparency categories.
